William Ryder (mayor) : ウィキペディア英語版 | William Ryder (mayor) Sir William Ryder (died 30 August 1611)〔Elizabeth Ogborne, () "The History of Essex: From the Earliest Period to the Present Time", p.79〕 was an English politician and Lord Mayor of London. As mayor, he played a prominent role in quashing the abortive rebellion led by the Earl of Essex.〔Ashton, Robert. () "The City and the Court: 1603-1643", p.37〕 Sir William Ryder was a member of the Haberdasher's Company, one of the livery companies of London. He served as Sheriff of the City of London in 1592, Alderman in 1595, and Lord Mayor of London for 1600 - 1601.
